The staff was amazing in assessing my cars mechanical issues and providing the best solution and pricing levels. The mechanic Lucio is proactive and found a way to avoid replacing an AC part completely by making a modification. Naz and David were helpful in updating me on the repair status and assisting with applying the correct charges and providing general maintenance tips.

My visit at the 4th Ave location in Seattle was a disaster. I had an 8am appointment and arrived at the store to find it closed. I had to drive my car with a severe oil leak all the way home, which was dangerous. I then received a call from the front desk employee around noon asking me to return with my car. When I arrived, there was still no mechanic on-site and all of the garages were closed. The front desk staff was incredibly lazy and difficult to work with, he did not seem to care about his customers at all. He sat in the lobby watching YouTube videos and eating lunch while I waited for him to help me. He gave a half-hearted apology for showing up "a little late" (3+ hours) to work that day. I brought my car in for an oil leak and a TPMS evaluation. They informed me that I also needed a new air filter for the cabin. When I came to pick up my car, the air filter was not replaced. The front desk employee said he could not have it replaced on the spot, since it was a very invasive process. This is not true, as other PepBoys locations have replaced the filter in 10 minutes. I paid $2000+ in repairs and labor for the oil pan and TPMS, only to find an erroneous line item ($260) on

All in all, I liked my experience here. The staff checked out my car right away, walked me through why my old tire couldn't be fixed, and found a new one that worked for me without making things confusing. Everyone I talked to was polite and answered my questions, which I really valued. My only real complaint is that the scheduling and communication weren't great. I expected a few updates that day, but it took longer than I thought just to find out when my car would be ready. Aside from that, the service itself was solid. If they sort out the communication and scheduling, this could easily be a five-star shop.

Came in to potentially get a flat repaired and scheduled in advance to make sure I was seen. They quickly got it on the lift and showed me the tire was not repairable and quickly got new tires ordered. A couple weeks later I noticed there was a competitor with a better deal on the tires and Pep Boys price matches! I brought in the competing offer for the same tires and I was sent a check for the difference in price. I also got an alignment because my tire had uneven wear, it was the best price offered for an alignment in the area. They were friendly and professional the entire time. Thanks!
